Dear Members of the Community:

We have approached Nazareth Hall Nursing Center Administration to join together to assemble a team to raise funds to renovate the once breath taking rose garden and patio centered at the heart of the historic west wing.. We are appealing to your generosity in an effort to brighten the lives of our residents and loved ones.

The Sisters of Loretto have realized a vision to provide education and healthcare in the community. Nazareth Hall Nursing Center has been in existence for over 40 years. Initially it was a home for nuns and clergy who need medical care and assistance. Later, services were extended to all members of the greater El Paso community and then in 2002 it was expanded to twice its original capacity to meet the needs of the community.

The patio was once a highlight at Nazareth Hall that was breathtaking. The patio was filled with roses, trees, a wooden gazebo and a fish pond. At one time the patio was a refuge for many residents as well as for their families when in need of solace. Thru the years the patio has taken its toll. No longer do you see colorful rose bushes nor can you smell their fragrance. The trees no longer provide the shade that they once did. At one point the fish pond was drained and covered with cement. The walkways are cracked, broken and uneven throughout making it unsafe for residents use.

Once a place of beauty and serenity, the patio has evolved into a deserted area. We feel compelled to transform the patio back to a place where everyone can retreat to for exercise, tranquility and time to reflect.

We are reaching out to the community in our effort to enhance the quality of life of our loved ones. We hope that you will feel compelled to join our effort of this worthwhile dream by contributing a monetary donation that will provide for items such as Rose bushes, Assorted Bushes, Trees.

With enough participation we hope to offer spiritual statues and memorial wall plaques that can be sponsored by those donors wishing to make large contributions. Please make checks payable to Nazareth Hall Nursing Center or you can make your contribution in person at the facility and by pay pal on our website.
